Although Clerk Magistrate and Lantern Kronos faltered in the Hambletonian and Hambletonian Oaks, respectively, they both achieved redemption in the American National trots. Clerk Magistrate had been on top of his game with a win in the Goodtimes and Lantern Kronos had tasted victory in the Elegantimage. The Hambletonian and Hambo Oaks brought despair to connections of both horses, but they answered with wins in the American National and American National for distaffers.
The Kentuckiana Stallion Management Stakes at Indiana Downs was won by one hot momma, Margarita Momma.
